Before we drive to Uganda, we shall have a city tour and visit the Kigali genocide museum to learn more about the incidents that led to the 1994 Rwandan genocide.
Today we will be travelling across Mountainous country of Rwanda and into neighboring Uganda.
We will cross a beautiful part of the country with many highlands and terraces, where you will see crater lakes and the great Virunga Mountains.
Today, After an early Morning breakfast prepare yourself for an encounter with the Mountain Gorillas.
Given the fact that gorilla tracking time is unpredictable, it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will actually hike. The escapade of tracking the gorillas in the superb ecosystem of the park will be passionate for the adventurers. It may take 2hrs up to 5 hours or more and you should be prepared to walk long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas.
This is a great opportunity to get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own Gorillas in the Mist.
Today, we shall go for mabungo cultural tour experience to learn more about Uganda culture and customs.
The community in mabungo will show us around their farm gardens, teach us farming, have a cooking class with them , dance and sing ,as well as the medicine man potrays how to care for the sick in the village traditionally with herbs.
We shall also learn marriage customs , how people wed and how they mourn for the dead and sending them off
In the evening we can go for canoeing at lake mutanda to peddle in the wooden boats or have an evening sundowner exploring different islands of lake mutanda.
Today we shall transfer back to Kigali
